WHICH FILE FORMATS DOES DirEttore SUPPORT?
DirEttore supports WAV and MP3 files encoded at any bit rate in CBR (constant bit rate) mode.
This does not mean it won't play VBR (variable bit rate) MP3s, but cue point accuracy cannot
be guaranteed.
WHAT ARE THE SUGGESTED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS?
Although Windows 98se & ME are supported until version 1.0.5, it is strongly recommended that you use Windows 2000 or XP due
to their proven stability and reliability over time. A Pentium III class processor with a frequency
of 700 MHz is enough to cope with DirEttore demands, while a minimum of 128 MB of RAM is required.
IS IT REALLY A FREE PROGRAM?
Yes, at least during this beta test phase. The final release will be free only for registered beta
testers.
SOME FEATURES ARE "GHOSTED", WHAT ARE THEY FOR?
Some Windows have options disabled because are planned for future developement. Planned does
not mean they will definitely be implemented, they may either be substituted by last minute changes or
never developed.
CUE POINTS ARE NOT CORRECTLY SET IN SOME FILES, WHY?
This is due to the VBR (variable bit rate) mode used for encoding some MP3s. In this case the
program cannot set the cue points accurately.
